Abstract
Following recognition of the need to improve employment pathways for young people with SEND across post-16 provision, partners worked through the All Our Talents programme, delivered with the SEND Centres of Excellence and ETF Employer Spokes events. Challenges included limited employer confidence, narrow recruitment pathways, and a lack of structured engagement between employers and SEND learners. Actions included employer events, creation of a construction-sector Community of Practice, implementation of a targeted Skills and Employment Plan, and co-development of inclusive recruitment resources. Evidence of impact includes engagement of 132 professionals, very high participant satisfaction, increased employer commitment to inclusive recruitment, six SEND learners accessing work experience, two securing paid employment, and the publication of industry-wide accessible recruitment guidance supporting sustained sector change.
